Applicants must have at least three (3) years of experience in documentary production and short video news releases.

 

Videographers must possess proven ability as a Storyteller, handling all the duties of Writer, Camera Operator, and Editor. Applicant must also be proficient, and have a working knowledge, in operating professional ENG-style video cameras with excellent shooting instincts. This hybrid position requires the ability to research and write stories, conduct on-camera interviews, report on-location, capture footage/film, and edit.

 

Primary responsibilities will include producing news packages while serving as the reporter, so strong narration skills are required. Work as part of a team of producers to provide television coverage of daily activities and special events. Producer must be versatile enough to adapt to other projects such as highlight videos, special events or documenting presentations. Assignments could involve strenuous physical activity. This is a very deadline-oriented position, the Producer must meet deadlines while working on multiple stories at once.

 

The ideal candidate must be extremely professional, reliable, committed, dependable and punctual; as well as have the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and work under tight deadlines.

 

Work is generally performed Monday thru Friday with occasional overtime and weekend requirements. Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environment. Must be able to stand for extended times; lift and transport up to 25 pounds of supplies, equipment or products.

 

Videographers will, at times, be required to provide photography support.

 

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in documentary production and short video news releases

• Must be proficient with video production equipment, i.e. lighting, composition, and camera settings

• Must possess an Expert level in the use of Adobe Premier editing software

• Knowledge of Adobe CS6 is mandatory

• Must know Windows and Mac operating systems

• Must have excellent grammar and communication skills

• Must be deadline oriented

• Must exhibit maturity and composure under pressure

• Must have a valid Driver's License and a working vehicle

• Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance (if necessary)
